Swami

Swami is one of the "house boys" who bring us tea, nuts, water, etc all day and work as long as we do - often 13 hours a day. Might bring him home with me pour encourager les autres if you catch my drift.

Colleagues Mark and Vince

Vince is a Vet (as in USAF veteran) from Texas, and a tree-hugger's worst nightmare. Mark is from Minneapolis and now works for my client.

Nagar HussaIn Lake

This lake is in the centre of the city. Looks pretty, but the water is a bit green and dead looking.

The boys in the band

These two make lovely music at breakfast time, close to the restaurant.

Views from the roof of 4G building

Pool at the Taj Banjara hotel

Visited our base for the work

4G offices in Hyderabad. The security guard is there all day. Doesn't do much apart from open the gate for vehicles to come in.

View from hotel window

5th Floor. Can't open the windows because of the mozzies.

My client, Bob

My Client, Bob, and I arrive at the hotel. Garlands were prepared (see photo). Would normally expect fatted calf but this is India, so may have to do with fatted chicken.

Bob had been in the air for several days from Kansas.

The flight on Emirates

Just another flight. Business Class made it more bearable, and Emirates has really good food.

But I thought that you might enjoy an entry from the wine list.

Willaim Fevre, Chablis 2007.
It is not by accident that we once again list a textbook Chablis from William Fevre.

With some of the best vineyard holdings in the Vonne valley, there is minimum intervention in the wine growing and making alike.

The 2007 is not a showy vintage, but more a return to the real Chablis style.

Balanced, lean and angular
[very much like this writer, in fact] the wine skips, refreshing and enlivening on its way, across the voyager's weary palate. Quite splendid.

So there are worse things to write than sales proposals. I could be doing wine lists.
